In today’s world our skin (which is the largest organ system) is exposed to chemicals and combat numerous free radicals on a daily basis, fighting and thirsting for emulates and protection. The health choices we make every day either produce a healing effect or a toxin we must combat. The way in which we care for our skin should be one of the simplest forms to obtain.
Knowing that everything that we put on our skin, healthy or not; is going into our system. We spend time and money drinking the cleanest water we can find, but put junk on our skin. I wanted to create a simple product that I could use instead of buying and putting chemicals on and in my body.
Omique’ Organics was created in 2013, in response to requests for completely organic skin moisturizing and exfoliating products. It’s clean, effective and ecofriendly! Our organic products are never heat treated, simple and to the point. Omique’ is that simple choice and you will only have to apply once a day.
Once Omique’ was produced, I started by sharing the love, offering samples for the body. Natural Shea butter, infused with effective and aromatic essential oil and scents. Essential oils, were the key to me falling in love with the vision of Omique’. They provided healing and wonderful aromas to add to the Shea butter, which has a nutty aroma, inherit to unrefined butter. Then “Essential Dew” (a face serum) was made to aid and stimulate facial skin. It’s made from a concentration of essential oils as well as organic carrier oils, an answer to my own aging dilemma.
The customers loved it! They wanted something more than the traditional anti-aging lotions or moisturizers, which have hormones, formaldehyde, waxes and preservatives or my favorite term “skin crack“. Later, I learned that exfoliating allowed the skin to have space to regenerate, which was just as important as feeding and moisturizing the skin. “Dry brushing” and exfoliating as a daily routine became a very important part of my skin care regiment. The brushing is highly effective and promotes simulation, awareness and self-love of one’s body as you examine your skin. Even ancient Egyptians used this form of skin care.
Omique’ the name, was created to describe your skin. The first part of the word “Omi” comes from “omnipresent”, because your skin is always present. The second part of the word “Que’” comes from “unique”, because that’s what you and your skin are, having particular needs. We should feed our skin and love ourselves accordingly. You see what I did there?
Omique’ is not a wonder cure, but can be one of nature’s answer to simple skin care.
Have a Shea Day!
Be Well…
